kei truck in city

If you mostly drive around town, pay attention to fuel efficiency and operability! |choosing Kei Ep2

If you mainly drive on paved roads or in town, it is recommended that you choose a car that is fuel efficient and easy to operate, rather than focusing only on power and off-road capabilities. For paved roads, we recommend 2WD (FR/MR) cars that are light and easy to handle!

If you often drive on paved roads in the city, we recommend 2WD types.

2WD cars are divided into FR (front engine, rear drive) and MR (mid engine, rear drive). Most Kei trucks are FR, but mini trucks that use MR have the advantage of being quiet and can run stably even when not loaded. If you rarely drive on rough roads, 2WD cars with good fuel efficiency and comfortable handling are more comfortable to drive.

If you drive long distances or want to drive easily, you can also choose AT or AGS cars!
If you don’t drive in a way that requires a lot of horsepower, you should also check out AT and AGS cars. Since there is no need for clutch or shifting like in manual transmission cars, this is recommended for people who are not good at driving or who want to drive easily. By the way, 4-speed automatic transmission cars have also appeared recently. There are also models that have good fuel efficiency and perform similarly to manual transmission cars.

There is also a type called AGS that has appeared, which is based on a 5MT and mimics its performance, but automatically handles clutch and shifting operations. If you want the performance of a manual transmission but can only drive automatic transmissions, this is a must-see.
